21th European OptiLayer Workshop “Optical Coatings for Modern Applications” will provide a great opportunity for you to get acquainted with OptiLayer Software and to be informed about newest software features including the most recent version 11.65 that has been released in September 2016.
|Participants may bring their design or characterization problems! We will find time during the workshop to discuss your problem confidentially!|
Who should participate?
|The workshop is oriented toward attendees working in various fields of thin film optical coatings including those who have little to no experience in OptiLayer software. Experienced OptiLayer users are also welcome to gain the most recent knowledge in thin films. To meet requirements of the broad audience the 21th European OptiLayer workshop is organized in a format including one beginner’s day and two intermediate/advanced days.|
What will you learn?
During Beginner’s day will learn basic principles and ideas of OptiLayer software. Using practical exercises, you will be able to create their own thin film material, substrate, and design databases, evaluate spectral characteristics of the most widely used types of optical coatings and design coatings with requested spectral properties. By the end of the first day, you will also learn how to import measurement data and to perform characterization of thin films using spectral photometric data.
The next two days of the course will cover the main issues and the most recent advances related to the design and production of optical coatings. It will be demonstrated how OptiLayer meets the most urgent needs and requests of our customers. The main goal of these two days is to show how progress in design techniques, pre-production and post-production error analysis, and monitoring techniques can jointly contribute to maximizing production yield and raise the quality of modern optical coatings. Coursework will be presented by Alexander Tikhonravov and Michael Trubetskov.
You can choose to attend only Beginner session, only Advanced/Intermediate session or both sessions at a reduced rate.
