Flexible Merit Function

 Example: Design of color coating with additional requirements on integral transmittance.

OptiLayer has now targets of four different types. These are Conventional targets, Integral targets, Color targets, EFI targets. If targets of different types are used for solving design problem then the Total merit function is used by a design procedure. The Total merit function is composed of Conventional, Integral, Color, and EFI merit functions corresponding to the respective targets loaded to memory. It is possible to apply weights to these components of the Total merit function. Components of merit function are permanently updated and monitored in the course of design process.
