OptiLayer:  Your Partner in Design and Post-Production Characterization of Optical Coatings

New Database Style and different Modes

The main databases of OptiLayer, OptiRE, and OptiChar were redesigned. In the new version, new modern scrollbars are used. By default the new design is displayed. Of course, you have the possibility to use the old style if it is more convenient for you. In order to switch to the old style as well as to old scrollbars, go to General Configuration window and check the corresponding check-boxes (see an example below).

In the new version, it is possible to switch between Expert mode (more options) and Simple mode (a limited number of the most popular options). In General Configuration window, you can not only choose Expert/Simple mode but select optional databases by checking corresponding check-boxes.
thin film design
There are several advanced features in OptiRE, OptiChar, and OptiLayer. These features are aimed at solving the most complicated characterization and design problems where they can bring unprecedented results. Using these features requires  large experience with OptiLayer and expertise in thin film optics. The options are under development! In order to add the advanced options, please check the Access to Advanced Features (Scientific Mode) check-box in Mode tab of the General Configuration window (see below). The advanced features of OptiRE include, for example, Systematic...(***), Random Errors...(***), Quasi-Random Errors...(***).
